I've noticed this community goes in waves, less active in the summer, much moreso in the fall/winter.

I think a lot of 'depression' is seasonal affective disorder, and the fact that, to be honest, a lot of fucking people seem to cut themselves over silly issues they're having in school/with classmates.

Any thoughts?

Depression can mean a range of things, from overwhelming sadness to completely apathy and lethargicness. I think a lot of people feel very lethargic, and this in turn makes them kind of sad 'cause they're not doing as much as they used to for themselves.

I, personally, really hate this. T_T I had cut and for no valid reason. Granted, I was failing at college 'n at, but still... To harm myself over something like that? It is foolish, and I completely agree. But my feelings were amplified because I was so lazy and apathetic and I had no clue why.

But the more people know, the more they can better themselves, right? ^.^

I don't see how this is even a little bit true. Although I've had my issues recently but they all seemed to appear in the summer time and so on. Then again, I'm not in middle or high school. I'm not really sure though. Your opinion could hold true to the people who are in school though.

Never really thought about it.

I definitely agree with the part about ppl cutting over school related things. I think that there is a lot less stress & drama over the summer.
